A.Semynoha, the Committee Chairman, stated that "for the first time the Committee initiated elaboration and ratification of the document that defines a strategic goal and is to become and action plan for the nearest 5 years". The representatives of central executive bodies and public organizations, scientists took part in its elaboration.
Inter alia, the Committee is to establish coordinated legislative base in the field of environmental protection and elimination of consequences of Chornobyl disaster, with account of modern requirements and world experience.
Adoption of the Committee´s "Activity Priorities for Years 2008-2011" and their implementation in close cooperation with executive bodies, scientific and public organizations, will facilitate settlement of urgent issues regarding current and future state of our country.
